Anti-Slavery & Human Trafficking Policy
StethShop, trading as Vena Cava Ltd, is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation in all parts of our business and supply chain. We recognise our responsibilities under UK law and are dedicated to operating ethically, fairly and transparently.
Our Business
StethShop is a UK-based specialist retailer of stethoscopes and related accessories, supplying healthcare professionals, students and NHS organisations. We operate online only and work with carefully selected manufacturers, distributors and logistics partners to deliver products across the United Kingdom.
Our Commitment to Preventing Modern Slavery
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to:
- Conducting business in a lawful, ethical and responsible manner
- Promoting fair, safe and respectful working conditions
- Reducing the risk of exploitation within our supply chain
- Acting quickly if any concerns are identified
Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain includes manufacturers, authorised distributors, wholesalers, and logistics providers. We expect all suppliers who work with StethShop to uphold high standards of:
- Compliance with all applicable labour and employment laws
- No use of forced, bonded or involuntary labour
- No use of child labour in violation of local laws
- No human trafficking or exploitation
Where possible, we work with established, reputable suppliers and may review their policies, statements or certifications relating to modern slavery and ethical trading.
Policies & Due Diligence
To help identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery within our business and supply chain, we aim to:
- Work only with suppliers who can demonstrate ethical and lawful practices
- Consider modern slavery risk when selecting or reviewing suppliers
- Maintain clear channels for raising concerns or complaints
- Review this policy periodically and update it where necessary
As we grow, we intend to strengthen our supplier due diligence processes further, including requesting confirmations, policies or statements from higher-risk or new suppliers where appropriate.
Employees, Conduct & Training
We expect everyone working for or on behalf of StethShop to support our stance against modern slavery. This includes:
- Treating all colleagues, partners and suppliers with dignity and respect
- Complying with applicable laws and internal policies
- Reporting any concerns about potential modern slavery or exploitation
As the business expands, we will review the need for additional staff training and more formal procedures to raise awareness of modern slavery risks and responsibilities.
Raising Concerns
We encourage anyone – employees, suppliers, customers or other stakeholders – to raise concerns if they suspect that modern slavery or human trafficking may be occurring in connection with our business or supply chain.
Concerns can be raised confidentially by contacting us using the details below. All reports will be taken seriously and handled as sensitively as possible.
Continuous Improvement
StethShop is a growing business, and we are committed to continually improving our processes to identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery. As our operations and supply chain evolve, we will keep this policy under review and enhance our approach where necessary.
